Are you bored with your life? I know sometimes I am. Even though we live in a world which is quickly changing, day after day, we do many of the same things over and over and over. We get into habits of living that aren’t in themselves bad, but don't naturally reflect the glory of God and His eternal wonders. When that happens, we can get easily bored. Today's passage from the Psalms can help us adjust our thinking, so let's listen to it:

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it. (Psalm 96:11)

Wow! The animals, the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the trees, the heavens and the earth—all of creation naturally celebrates the glory of God—all except humans. Billy Graham once said, "Out of all of the planets in the universe, ours is the only one in rebellion against God." But it’s not just those in rebellion, even Christians can forget to take time and celebrate the glory of God. We get caught up in our daily lives, in our politics, in our hopes and dreams and forget about giving glory to God. Has this ever happened to you? Is it happening to you right now?

Today, set aside every distraction and make time to celebrate our High King of Heaven. Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day which the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!" So let's join the rest of God's wonderful creation and celebrate our King! Jesus Christ is alive right now and He’s doing wonders...and that is really something to celebrate!
