MISSIONARY REPORT: JULY 2026

On July 1st, we began our journey to El Salvador to carry out a ministerial itinerary across different parts of the country.

On July 3rd with our participation in virtual Chaplaincy classes via Zoom, enjoying fellowship with other brothers in Christ. Subsequently, on July 6th, we met in Ahuachapán with the leaders of Cristo Vive Church to conduct a training session titled “How the Holy Scriptures Came to Us,” using valuable materials provided by the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS). During these days, we also had the opportunity to visit our hometown, the city of Santa Ana.

On July 10th, we received a warm invitation to the city of Ataco to celebrate the birthday of a beloved pastor and friend. The following day, Saturday, July 11th, we spoke at a men’s gathering at Cristo Vive Church, teaching on biblical financial stewardship and the dangers of materialism.

That same day, our dear friend Dr. Richard Smith honored us by gifting us a copy of his book translated into Spanish.

On July 15th, we met with Brother Alexander Flores, a pastoral candidate seeking personalized mentorship. We met alongside his current pastor, Carlos Márquez. After a time of prayer, we agreed on a collaborative framework for his comprehensive development: we will oversee the theoretical component of his theological training, while Pastor Carlos Márquez will handle the practical oversight of his ministerial growth.

On July 17th, we visited the Presbyterian Church of El Salvador, where we met with missionary Pablo Park and the local pastoral team to formally begin a systematic study plan on the Westminster Shorter Catechism.

On Sunday, July 19th, we had the privilege of delivering an expository sermon at Cristo Vive Church in Ahuachapán, expounding on 1 Peter 1:13–16 regarding the call to holiness.

That same Sunday, we also visited the Presbyterian Church of El Salvador in Ahuachapán, where we strengthened our bonds of friendship. This church serves as the official regional headquarters for the “Gospel Bible Academy” (Academia Bíblica el Evangelio). Together, we will formally launch the study of the Westminster Shorter Catechism this coming August.

Provision of Materials, Regional Travel, and Upcoming Logistics

On July 23rd, we received a great blessing: the arrival of a shipment of 4,000 copies of the booklet “How the Holy Scriptures Came to Us,” donated by the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS). This valuable resource serves as a strategic tool to continue equipping and strengthening the church throughout Central America.

Upon concluding our activities in El Salvador, we traveled back to Honduras on July 26th to resupply and prepare the logistics for our next international trip to Nicaragua, scheduled for July 30th.

Additionally, on July 27th, we coordinated via telephone with our host brothers on the border between Cheguaté (Guatemala) and Motozintla (Mexico). During this upcoming trip, we will be preaching in Guatemala as part of the National Bible Day celebrations. Afterward, we will travel to Motozintla, Mexico, to meet with leaders of the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico to evaluate implementing the study of the Westminster Shorter Catechism in their congregations.
